Carl Carmody came to the Lord in August 1981. After finishing studies at Curtin University in Film, TV and Journalism he met his wife Carolyn in 1982 and was married in January 1983. Carl came into the work of Challenge Newspaper part-time in July 1982 and full time March 1983. His present role is global CEO of Challenge Literature Fellowship.
Challenge newspaper is currently operating and distributing papers in the following countries: Australia, South Africa, Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Philippines and USA. Several other countries have expressed their desire to receive the good news paper but finances are the greatest hold up to the expansion of this work. Depending on the month up to 350,000 copies may be distributed. One paper can be read by as many as 20 people. The Challenge ministry around the world is receiving between 1000 and 2000 commitments to Christ per month.
